Pastor Shane L. Johnson

Pastor Shane L. Johnson was led to Christ by his mother at 6 years of age. At 10 he felt a call to the Gospel work, and at 13 he fell in love with what one day became his wife Kathy. He married her at 18 while in Southeastern College (now University) in Lakeland, FL.

Upon graduation they returned to Ohio where they would take their first of what eventually would be 8 churches. After ordination in the Assemblies of God and 10 years in full time ministry, Pastor Shane enrolled in Ashland Theological Seminary, from which he graduated in 1997 with an M.Div. in Bible, and then a Doctorate in Leadership in 2003. Pastor Shane has taught at 15 accredited Christian institutions across the US and around the world, and currently holds the rank of Professional Fellow of Practical Theology at Ashland Theological Seminary.

He is an avid outdoorsman, hunting both upland and big game, and fly fishing. Shane enjoys reading presidential and military history, particularly the WW II era. Shane and Kathy have 4 adult children, and 5 grandchildren. Kathy is an RN, and has a Master’s in Nursing Education from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Pastor Shane’s passion is to mentor the next generation of Christian leaders for the Church, to love and lead his family well, and one day go Home to be with Jesus.
