Pastor Tim Hull

Pastor Timothy J. Hull began his pastoral career in 1979, then in 1989 he became the pastor of the Pleasant Valley United Brethren Church on Goudy Road, Dalton. On July 2, 1995 he presented his first sermon for the cooperative ministry with the Church of the Gentle Shepherd,  located at 18600 Davis Road in Dalton.

In August of 1995, the congregations of the Pleasant Valley United Brethren Church and the Church of the Gentle Shepherd voted to become one church. That vote was unanimous and thus began a new church ministry, Cornerstone Community Church.

In the years to follow the church membership grew and the congregation was able to pay off the building bonds that were sold to add onto the original Church of the Gentle Shepherd building. The original building only consisted of the fellowship hall and kitchen area. The church flourished under the pastoral leadership of Pastor Tim.

Those who sat under Pastor Tim’s ministry, have characterized him as: caring, kind, having a sense of humor, knowledgeable, friendly, a leader, humble, dedicated, compassionate and encouraging.

The sign at the end of the church property was designed by Pastor Tim. He sketched the design on the back of a notebook. That sketch soon became reality. Kevin Walton, a good friend of Pastor Tim, painted the sign and the portrait of Pastor Tim pictured here.

We will always be grateful for the spiritual guidance and leadership of Pastor Tim.
